Short Film
Times are changing in America, and Robyn—a devoted high school English teacher—never imagined she’d be fired for teaching banned Black literature. Reeling from the injustice and with her young daughter by her side, she creates a plan to resist the school’s administration. Seeking guidance, she turns to Mrs. Jean, a community elder and keeper of a cherished community bookstore. Through the bond of intergenerational friendship, the stories held within the bookstore’s archives, and a shared vision for a better future, Robyn discovers new truths about her purpose—and the courage to fight for it.
